New York City’s Three Architectural Wonders

Built in the 1930s, the iconic Empire State Building in Midtown Manhattan offers panoramic views over New York City from an 86th floor observatory. Additionally, the Empire State Building also has a smaller observation area on the 102nd level.
Rising a symbolic 1,776 feet above ground level, the recently completed One World Trade Center in lower Manhattan has become the tallest skyscraper in the United States upon completion of the unique rooftop spire.

The Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor is another must see site on the east coast. New York city bus tours allow tourists to explore these amazing architectural landmarks up close. However, tourists must take ferries to get to Liberty Island and explore the Statue of Liberty.

New York State’s Natural Wonder: Niagara Falls

The Niagara Falls on the New York and Canada border is perhaps one of the most amazing natural sights to see on the east coast. Tourists at this site can see water falls gushing down from a height of more than 150 feet. It’s also common to see colorful rainbows appear behind the moist air that surrounds the Niagara Falls. Tourists can feel the power of water by observing the flow rate of more than 85,000 cubic feet per second from the Niagara Falls.

Washington D.C. Landmarks: Capitol Building and White House

The District of Columbia also offers some of the most important sites to explore on the East Coast. The Capitol Building and the White House are two standing symbols of U.S. democracy and classical architecture. Tourists can get up close to the Neoclassical Palladian style White House and view the property where the U.S. president officially resides. The United States Capitol Building boasts a neoclassical facade with its signature dome that overlooks Capitol Hill. This is the site where the U.S. congress gathers and makes the most important decisions regarding the country.

East Coast’s Gambling Mecca: Atlantic City

Located on New Jersey’s southern coast, Atlantic City is another must see sight on the east coast. Known as the gambling mecca of the east coast, Atlantic city rivals the casinos and hotels of Las Vegas. The oceanfront boardwalk in Atlantic City offers a unique experience of nightlife, gambling and lodging.
